Different types of malware and infections halt the Avast installation process on the user's system. You have to create Avast Rescue Disk initially if you are looking for installation and usage of antivirus software. It will ultimately help in detecting and removing malware and infected files.

Below is a process of creating an Avast Rescue Disk.

What you need for creating a Rescue Disk on blank USB drive:

1. With Avast antivirus installed malware free Windows computer system.
2. An external drive of 500 MB or higher space.

Procedure:

1. First of all access the Avast user interface.
2. From left panel click on Protection. Then select Rescue Disk.
3. In to computer's USB port insert empty portable device. Now choose Create USB on the main Rescue Disk screen.
4. Select your drive from the appeared dialog box. You will also see a progress screen.
5. Click OK when the disk is completed loading on the drive.

Booting system with USB drive:

You can boot up the computer system that has malware using external drive. Follow the steps below:

1. In the USB port insert the external drive which has Rescue disk after turning off your system.
2. Now, turn on the system scanner. Tap the required key to enter the boot up menu when the PC starts up.
3. Select your portable device when Boot Menu appears. You can find it in the below order- Removable Devices> USB Flash drive> USB Storage Device or similar to it.
4. You will see a message of instructions, follow them. Then press any key to let Rescue Disk start.

How it will fix or delete infected files:

1. From the results screen select Fix automatically.

2. To exit from the process select Quit and restart computer.

When your system restarts you can remove external portable device.
